Our Journey of Vision and Growth
The Treeland Group traces its origins back to 1999, when it began its remarkable journey from a modest office at Hotel Metropole, Karachi. The first company of the group, Air Support Technologies Pakistan, was co-founded by three distinguished professionals — Syed Ashfaq Ali, a seasoned bureaucrat and former President of the World Cotton Association; Khawaja Farooq, former Chief Engineer of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA); and Rehan Raza Agha, a young and passionate entrepreneur who brought new energy and vision to the team.
Together, they launched a pioneering venture specializing in aircraft sales, purchasing, leasing, and aviation consultancy services for various airlines. In the same year, the team submitted its first proposal for the acquisition of Shaheen Air International, in collaboration with the Lakhani Group — a major milestone in Pakistan’s aviation sector.
Soon after, Mr. Hafeez A. Sheikh, former Director Engineering at PIA, and Mr. Syed Zahid Ali Hashmi, former Chief Engineer PIA and key official of the PIA Trust, joined the company. Alongside them was Mr. I.U. Qureshi, former Director of PIA Engineering and previously associated with AeroAsia. These pioneering engineers had not only built the foundation of PIA but had also played a critical role in helping establish Emirates Airlines, sharing technical expertise and facilitating Airbus-standard aircraft support during its formative years.
An important addition to this remarkable team was Mr. Ishrat Ali Farooqi, former General Manager of Air France and Gulf Air, whose vast international experience and vision helped expand Air Support Technologies Pakistan’s operations globally. His efforts were instrumental in transforming the company from a national aviation venture into a recognized name in international aviation consultancy and services.
Working alongside such highly respected professionals gave Rehan Raza Agha the invaluable opportunity to learn from the best minds in the aviation industry, shaping his understanding of technology, discipline, and global business leadership. Over time, Sky KG Airlines (A Joint Venture Project), Treeland Jets Limited Canada, and several other companies were established, marking the beginning of what would later evolve into the Treeland Group of Companies.

Today, Treeland Group proudly stands as a multinational conglomerate with diversified interests across a wide spectrum of industries.
Building upon its strong foundation in aviation technologies and engineering, the Group has grown into a global enterprise involved in civil construction, infrastructure development, and energy projects. Treeland Group has contributed to the creation of bridges, highways, high-rise towers, mega shopping malls, five-star hotels, housing developments, and essential infrastructure such as water reservoirs — always emphasizing quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Our operational expertise extends to power generation, oil and gas exploration, pipeline construction, and the maintenance of high-voltage electrical transmission lines. In addition, Treeland Group actively participates in international trade and food supply, dealing in key commodities such as wheat, flour, rice, sugar, meat, and edible oils, ensuring consistent quality and reliability worldwide.
In the resource sector, we engage in coal, iron ore, and gold mining, while in the energy and petrochemical sectors, we operate in petroleum trading, drilling services, LPG sales, and fertilizer distribution.
